Suttons Seeds - Snapdragon Antirrhinum 'Mango Twist'

This exciting Antirrhinum will be sure to add a tropical touch to any garden! 'Mango Twist' is an award winning variety that bears striking flowers with vibrant scarlet upper petals, lemon yellow lower petals and a white throat. This Snapdragon is perfect for sunny borders and its long stems with multiple side branches look superb in a vase display indoors. Height: 60cm (24in). Spread: 40cm (16in).

Sowing Information

Sow Antirrhinum seeds indoors or under glass from January to March on the surface of a good quality seed compost and gently firm down. Place the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 18-21C (64-70F) or seal inside a clear polythene bag until germination which takes 10 - 21 days. Keep the compost damp but not wet and do not exclude light.

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 7.5cm (3ā€) pots and grow Snapdragon plants on in cooler conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7 – 10 days before planting outdoors. Plant Snapdragons at a distance of 30cm (12ā€) apart on any light, well drained soil in full sun.
