Scotts® Grub B Gon® Max Grub Killer (1.4 kg) is a granular, natural biologic treatment designed to prevent grub-related lawn damage. Its active ingredient is Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies galleriae strain SDS‑502, a soil‑borne bacteria that selectively targets beetle larvae like Japanese beetles, European chafers, May/June beetles, and more. Once applied and watered in (~1.25 cm), the bacteria move into the soil’s root zone and kill grubs as they feed. Safe for lawns when used as directed, treatment covers up to 125 m² and helps maintain turf health and prevent wildlife digging. Optimal application times include spring (April–May), summer (late June–early August), and early fall (late August–September).
